LSU baseball score vs. Tennessee: Live updates from College World Series 2023, Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. — LSU baseball's journey in Omaha will begin this weekend, as the Tigers will face Tennessee in their opening game at the 2023 College World Series on Saturday at 6:40 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Stanford and Wake Forest's matchup was in a weather delay that lasted over an hour, pushing back the start of LSU's game. The Tigers' matchup was originally scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The Tigers (48-15) clinched their 19th appearance in the College World Series last Sunday when they defeated Kentucky, 8-3, in Game 2 of the Baton Rouge Super Regional. LSU also won Game 1 of the super regional in dominant fashion the day before, 14-0.

LSU took down Oregon State twice and Tulane at the Baton Rouge Regional on the weekend prior to last to advance to the super regionals. The Tigers have won five consecutive games heading into Omaha.
Tennessee (43-20) defeated Southern Miss in Games 2 and 3 of the Hattiesburg Super Regional to advance to Omaha after losing Game 1. This weekend will be the second time in three years the Volunteers will be playing in the CWS.
The Tigers and Volunteers have already faced each other in the regular season, as LSU defeated Tennessee twice in a best-of-three-game series from Baton Rouge in late March.
