LSU baseball to host Oregon State, Tulane and Sam Houston at Baton Rouge Regional

BATON ROUGE – LSU baseball will host Oregon State, Sam Houston and Tulane at the Baton Rouge Regional to begin the NCAA Tournament.

LSU's first regional matchup will be against Tulane on Friday (2 p.m., ESPNU).

The Tigers have also earned the No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, meaning that they will host a super regional if they advance from their regional.

The Tigers will be paired with the Lexington, Kentucky, Regional which includes No. 12 seed Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia and Ball State.

LSU enters the NCAA Tournament after falling in the fourth round of the SEC Tournament this past week, defeating South Carolina in the second round before losing to Arkansas in the third round and Texas A&M in the fourth.

The Tigers will head into the tournament with the No. 5 ranking in the RPI.
