First pitch for Louisiana baseball-Texas at Coral Gables Regional set after weather delay

The opening contest at the Coral Gables Regional between No. 3 seed Louisiana and No. 2 seed Texas Friday has entered a weather delay and is scheduled to start at 2:46 p.m. Central Time, NCAA officials on site have announced.

Play between the Ragin' Cajuns (40-22) and the Longhorns (38-20) has been suspended before things have gotten going at Alex Rodriguez Park due to a weather system that made it way through the area.

Once the regional game begins, it'll have come after an hour and 46-minute inclement weather delay.
