'Looked like a flop': Peyton Manning and Joe Buck couldn't believe penalty on Raiders' Maxx Crosby after push of Packers' Zach Tom

Flopping in the NBA has gotten so out of hand that the league has enacted a new rule for the upcoming season.

Maybe the NFL will have to learn a thing or two from the NBA.

At least that's what Peyton Manning and Joe Buck think after seeing what happened early in the Green Bay Packers' game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.

After AJ Dillon rushed five yards for a first down with 5:43 left in the first quarter, Raiders stud defensive end Maxx Crosby shoved Packers offensive lineman Zach Tom from behind.

Tom fell to the ground and the play drew a quick flag for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Crosby couldn't believe it and neither could the game's announcers. That includes Manning, who along with his brother, Eli, was hosting the alternate Manningcast on ESPN 2, or Buck, who was calling the game on the main broadcast with Troy Aikman.

First, Manning's comments: “Looked like a flop, they’re going to call Crosby for unsportsmanlike conduct," said Peyton, clearly in disbelief. "Are offensive lineman allowed to flop? Even Maxx is kind of laughing. I think if he wanted to get unsportsmanlike conduct he could."

Eli agreed with his brother saying "lineman flopping isn't good."

Peyton stepped up his criticism of the call and related it to the NBA, which is now calling flopping as non-unsportsmanlike technical fouls in games.

"The NBA, they’re outlawing flopping," Peyton said. "Do we have to get that in the NFL? Does (NBA commissioner Adam) Silver have to call (NFL) Commissioner (Roger) Goodell?"

Buck said Tom should get in a Vegas pool with that flop.

"What kind of a splash would that get in the pool? That was a bellyflop," Buck said. "Wow, that was well done. Seeing a live Vegas show."

Aikman could only laugh.
