LOOK: Several of Texas’ top recruiting targets, commits arrive on campus

It’s a monster recruiting weekend on the Forty Acres for Steve Sarkisian and his staff.

Other programs elsewhere are hosting recruiting events of their own, but the Longhorns were still able to bring in many of their top 2023 and 2024 recruiting targets for a BBQ and pool party this weekend.

Over a handful of Texas’ 2023 commits arrived on campus today as well, hoping to sway more highly rated recruits at the event to commit to the Longhorns.

Five-star quarterback Arch Manning and five-star wide receiver Johntay Cook are two of the biggest commits on campus right now, while targets such as four-star defensive back Jordan Matthews and four-star defensive lineman Markis Deal also made the trip.

Payon Kirkland, Texas’ latest offensive line commit, is also making his first visit to Austin.
