A look at returning teams and champions at the 30th annual Ironman Tournament at Walsh

The 30th annual Ironman Tournament hits the mats Friday and Saturday this week and once again the field is loaded.

How loaded? Only two Greater Akron/Canton wrestlers return as placers and only one will wrestle at Walsh Jesuit. No area wrestlers won a title in 2022.

This season, there are 28 nationally ranked teams and seven No. 1s.

What’s more, the inaugural Women of the Ironman Tournament takes place Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s what to know:

Wadsworth's Jaxon Joy will be the only Greater Akron/Canton area Ironman placer to compete when action begins Friday.
