Look: Indiana basketball's coaching staff wears red sweaters to honor Bob Knight

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball's entire coaching staff wore red sweaters in honor of Bob Knight on Sunday night against Army. The military academy is where Knight broke into the coaching ranks.

Knight, who passed away at the age of 83 years old on Nov. 1, was 24 years old when Army hired him in 1965.

Before winning three national titles at Indiana, he was 102-50 in six seasons as the coach of Army from 1965-71. Knight took the team to the NIT four times and had a pair of 20-win seasons.

The men's and women's basketball teams are wearing "RMK" patches on their uniforms this season to honor Knight. The university didn't hold a public memorial for Knight at the request of the coach's family.
