Rouse continues winning ways

Extending its winning streak to 6, Rouse carved up Killeen Chaparral in a 11-5A DII tilt.

The Raiders return home next week as they tackle Waco University High.

A&M Consolidated took it to Leander 72-0 to stay a game back of College Station and Georgetown in 11-5A DI.

Q. Murphy throws for 6 scores

Quinn Murphy slung 6 TD passes as Regents ran its season record to 6-1 as the Knights dumped Hyde Park 50-14.

Eastside has rallied to tie Northeast 14-14 in a game that has reached the 4th quarter.

Liberty Hill continues to lead Lockhart, outpacing the Lions 56-41 in the 4th.

Hutto leads Temple 45-24 in the 3rd quarter.

Belton shook off last week's loss to Rouse as the Tigers edged Connally 27-22.

Eagles rally for the win

After falling behind 13-0 in the second quarter, Georgetown ran off 31 unanswered points as the Eagles dumped East View 31-13.

The win sets up a battle for the top of the district standings as the Eagles travel to College Station next week to take on the Cougars, also 4-0 in the district.

Heath McRee recovered a blocked punt and returned it for six as Westlake has extended its lead to 27-14 over Dripping Springs.

Lake Travis has entered the fourth stanza with a 42-0 lead over Anderson.

Tigers hold off Rangers

Stony Point has toppled Vista Ridge 7-0.

Belton has rallied to take a 21-20 lead over Connally in the third quarter.

In the fourth, Liberty Hill dis leading Lockhart 44-33.

Bremond is all over Granger 43-6 in the fourth quarter.

Aaron Guzman hits a 34-yard field goal to give Georgetown a 31-13 lead over East View late in the fourth quarter.

Petter at it again

The Statesman's reigning Player of the Week, Georgetown's Andrew Petter has scored his third TD, this time on a 14-yard pass from Noah Booras as the Eagles have extended their lead to 28-13 over East View.

Hutto leads Temple 28-17 at halftime as the Hippos are searching for their first district win.

Eagles capitalize on short field to extend lead

After Seth Warren's fumble recovery at the East View 30, Andrew Petter capped a 7-play drive with a one-yard run around left end to push the Georgetown lead to 21-13 over the Patriots with less than a minute in the third stanza.

Westlake scored on the third play of the second half has Rees Wise carries it in from 9 yards out to bring the Chaps to a 14-14 tie with Dripping.Springs.

Across town, Lake Travis takes advantage of an unsuccessful Anderson onside kick to start the second half as the Cavaliers' Nico Hamilton scores from 11 yards out with 11:18 left in the third.

Warren causes a pair of Patriot turnovers

Georgetown's Seth Warren has recovered a fumble and snared an interception as the Eagles are nursing a 14-13 lead with 2:18 left in the third over East View.

Georgetown just converted on a 4th-and-2 to put the ball at the Patriot 19.

Hawks score late to take halftime lead

Hendrickson kicked a field goal late in the 2nd quarter to take a 18-16 lead over Cedar Park at half.

Also at the half, Lake Travis leads Anderson 28-0.

T-Wolves lead late in first half

With under 2 minutes left in the first half, Cedar Park leads Hendrickson 16-15.

Andrew Petter's 13-yard TD run has given Georgetown its first lead of the game 14-13 over East View with just over 9 minutes left in the third quarter.

Northeast leads undermanned Eastside

Northeast leads Eastside 14-6 in the second quarter.

Despite being tied at 7 in the first, McCallum has entered halftime with a 31-14 lead.

Tigers head to locker ahead at half

In what some may consider a shocker, Dripping Springs leads Westlake 14-7 at half.

Rouse doubling up Chaparral

In a game at Shoemaker Stadium in Killeen, Rouse leads Chaparral 28-14 at half.

Meanwhile in College Station, A&M Consolidated is drubbing Leander 42-0 in the second.

Lago Vista leads Achieve 35-0 in the second.

In a wild one in Caldwell, La Grange is up on the hosts 26-21 midway through the second.

in a game that has reached halftime, Bremond is shutting out Granger 28-0.

in the opening quarter, Chilton is out to an early 7-0 lead over Bartlett.

In a game that has reached the third, unbeaten Mason leads Johnson City 21-14.

Connally still leads Belton as the game has reached half. The Cougars lead 20-7 over the Tigers.

Cougars routing Lehman

New Braunfels Canyon is dominating Lehman 33-0 in the second quarter.

SA Veterans Memorial is taking it to Bastrop 34-0 in the second stanza.

Lago Vista is crushing Achieve 35-0 in the second quarter.

In a shoot-out at Panther Stadium, Liberty Hill leads Lockhart 35-27 at half.

Kayden Leon hits Dylan Cullers for on a 5-yard scoring toss to stretch the Lake Travis lead over Anderson 28-0 with 10:31 left in the half.

LASA even with McCallum

After a pair of lopsided losses, LASA is tied with McCallum 7-7 in the first quarter.

At half, Stony Point still leads Vista Ridge 7-0.

Round Rock Christian leads Waco Live Oak 16-14 at half.

Burnet is shutting out Marble Falls 7-0 in the second quarter.

Cibolo Steele leads San Marcos 14-0 in the second quarter.

Lake Travis leads 21-0 at the end of one

At the end of one, Lake Travis is three touchdowns better than Anderson.

Dripping Springs has regained the lead as Maddox Maher hits All-Centex receiver Kyle Koch for a 42-yard TD to put the Tigers up 14-7.

East View leads Georgetown 13-7 at the half.

Westlake responds to tie game

Rees Wise scores on a 4-yard run with 3:07 remaining in the opening quarter as Westlake has evened it at 7 against Dripping Springs.

Jacob Weishiemer's 3-yard TD reception from Noah Booras has brought Georgetown to within 13-7 with 1:28 left in the first half.

Quinn Murphy has thrown his 4th and 5th TD passes of the opening half as Regents leads Hyde Park 34-0 late in the 2nd.

Murphy's 4th TD pass covered 5 yards to Hudson Powell and the fifth came from the Hyde Park 7 to Bobby Long.

Connally leads Belton

Connally is leading Belton 13-7 in the second quarter.

Ty Blair scores on a 11-yard run to give East View a 13-0 lead over Georgetown with 5:39 remaining before intermission.

Pieper on top of Cedar Creek

After spotting Pieper a 12-0 lead, Cedar Creek has scored to cut the margin to 12-7 with less than 3 minutes left in the opening stanza.

Stony Point is leading Vista Ridge 7-0 in the second quarter.

Liberty Hill leads in 2nd

Liberty Hill has jumped out to a 21-14 lead over Lockhart in a 13-5A DII tussle at Panther Stadium.

Liberty Hill is 2-1 in district play while Lockhart is 1-1.

Tigers strike first

Jack Tyndall's 79-yard TD run on the third play of the game as Dripping Springs has taken an early 7-0 lead on Westlake.

East View's Jake Martin has hauled in a pass from Ty Blair to give the Patriots a 7-0 lead over Georgetown with 9:51 left in the opening half.

Millington pushes Knights lead to 21-0

Quinn Murphy has tossed his 3rd TD of the opening quarter, this a 28-yarder to Kade Millington, as Regents leads Hyde Park 21-0 at the end of one.

In Georgetown, East View and Georgetown are scoreless entering the second quarter.

Regents strike again

Quinn Smith has tossed his second TD pass of the night, a 51-yarder to Ramon Patson, as the Knights lead Hyde Park 14-0 in the opening quarter.

Murphy to Smith covers 74 yards and a score for Regents

Quinn Murphy hit Blake Smith on a 74-yard pass as 5-1 Regents lead Hyde Park 7-0 in first quarter action.

LT hosting Anderson

Lake Travis is looking to hold Texas-baseball commit Ed Small in check as the Cavaliers are hosting Anderson in a 26-6A matchup.

The junior wideout has 53 catches on the year for 797 yards with 14 TDs.

Georgetown, College Station share top spot in District 11-5A-DI

Entering this weekend’s contests, Georgetown and College Station are atop the district 11-5A standings with 3-0 district records.

Georgetown is tackling cross-town rival East View at Birkelbach looking to extend its district winning streak to 10 after falling to A&M Consolidated 48-34 in last season’s district opener.

The game looks to feature a pair of potent offenses.

The Eagles’ Andrew Petter earned the Statesman’s player of the week honors after rushing for 196 yards and 3 scores while adding 3 catches for 45 yards and a score in Georgetown’s 52-21 rout of Leander .

East View’s junior QB Ty Blair torched the Glenn defense last week passing for a school-record 431 yards and 4 scores in the Patriots’ 42-38 come-from-behind win over Glenn.

College Station travels to Leander to take on Glenn at Bible Stadium.

1-5 Leander travels to face A&M Consolidated. The Tigers, who have an inside track to make the playoffs, sit a game back of Georgetown and College Station in the district standings.

In a game that matches a pair of 3-3 teams, Cedar Park visits The Pfield to tackle Hendrickson in a game that could go a long way in deciding the district’s fourth playoff nod.

Five 6A  area teams among state’s top 25

According to Dave Campbell’s Texas High School Football magazine, the Austin area is represented by a quintet of schools.

6-0 Westlake currently sits fourth, while tonight’s opponent, 5-1 Dripping Springs occupies the 22nd slot.

7-0 Vandegrift is perched in 5th and looks to remain among the upper echelon of the state rankings  after last night’s 45-3 victory over 25-6A rival Round Rock.

Lake Travis and Weiss are 11th and 18th respectively.

In 4A-DII, 6-0 Wimberley, 2023 state runner-up is ranked #5 going into tonight’s tussle with Manor New Tech.

Chaos looming for 26-6A playoff berth?

While it appears that Westlake, Lake Travis and Dripping Springs are going to qualify for the state playoffs, the remaining slot is up for grabs.

After Bowie’s 21-16 victory over Johnson and Austin High’s 34-14 conquest of Akins, it appears that Johnson, Bowie, Austin High will be joined by Anderson searching for the last spot.

As it stands right now Johnson is 3-2 in district play, while Bowie is 2-2. Anderson and Austin High sit at 2-3.

LBJ whitewashes Navarro

After a tough non-district schedule, LBJ pushed its season ledger over the .500 mark for the first time as the Jaguars shut out the Vikings 53-0.

LBJ will take on Travis next Friday night in a game that could match up a pair of teams with perfect 4-0 district marks.

Travis, 5-1, 3-0, plays Crockett (3-3, 2-1) tonight.

Undefeated Weiss rolls past Bryan

Weiss sits alone at the top of District 12-6A after the Wolves crushed visiting Bryan 42-13 at The Pfield last night.

In just its sixth full season of varsity football, Weiss is 8-0, 4-0 in district action. After a week off, the Wolves will return to action on October 27 as they head to Waco to tackle Midway.

In another 12-6A tussle, Hutto entertains Temple. The Hippos are looking for their first initial win of the district campaign after falling Harker Heights 44-35 a week ago and MIdway 45-42 2 weeks ago.

Behind Coleman, Vandegrift waltzes past Round Rock

In a game for the top spot in district 25-6A, North Texas commit Miles Coleman electrified the Dragon stadium denizens with two second quarter punt returns that he took to the house, as the Vipers drilled the host Dragons 45-3 to qualify for the 6A playoffs.

Coleman’s two returns, 68 and 70 yards respectively, helped Vandegrift (7-0, 4-0) race out to a 35-3 halftime lead as the Vipers qualified for the playoffs for the 11th consecutive season.

Vandegrift will return to action next Friday hosting Cedar Ridge, while Round Rock (3-4, 3-1) will face cross-town foe McNeil on Friday.

Top 5 matchup in 6A

In tonight’s marquee matchup, 5-1 Dripping Springs travels to Westlake to take on the 6-0 Chaps. The winner will have a leg up in the District 26 6A race.
