LIVE UPDATES! Indiana regional football championship night; D4 regional final in Michigan
We are down to five South Bend area games this week as five teams in Indiana compete for IHSAA Regional championships and one team in Michigan competes for a MHSAA Region title.
Tonight in Indiana, No. 8-ranked Penn (10-1) hosts unbeaten No. 4 Crown Point (11-0) at 7:30 p.m. at Everwise Credit Union Freed Field for a Class 6A Regional crown. Across town, No. 9 Mishawaka (9-2) hosts No. 2 F.W. Snider (10-1) at 7 p.m. at Steele Stadium for a Class 5A Regional. Then to the East No. 11 NorthWood (10-2) welcomes No. 12 New Prairie (10-2) at 7:30 at Jim Andrews Field in Nappanee for a Class 4A Regional title. No. 5 LaVille No. 5-ranked LaVille (11-1) travels to Lafayette to take on No. 10 Lafayette Central Catholic at 7 p.m.

To the North, the Niles community is buzzing after the Vikings won their first ever district title last weekend with a Division 4 victory over Paw Paw. No. 6 Niles (10-1) will now host No. 2 Portland (11-0) at 7.
