The LIV Golf Series' inaugural event in the United States starts Thursday and runs through Saturday, July 2. The 54-hole, no-cut tournament will take place at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club outside of Portland, Oregon.

The event will feature 20 of the top 100 players in the World Golf Rankings, including Jupiter residents Dustin Johnson (No. 17) and Brooks Koepka (No. 19). Other big names: Phil Mickelson's low round is a 59 in 2004 at Poipu Bay Golf Course in Hawaii. Bryson DeChambeau's is a 60 at the 2001 BMW Championship.

And just recently, another golfer in the top 100 joined the LIV Golf Series, Jupiter's Matthew Wolff. Wolff, 23, will be joined at Pumpkin Ridge by former PGA Tour winner Carlos Ortiz and Oklahoma State junior Eugenio Chacarra, the second ranked amateur in the world.

Like each of the eight LIV events, LIV's tournament, in Portland, includes 12 four-man teams that take part in a team portion aside from the individual competition.
