How likely is an Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Texas Rangers rematch in 2024 World Series?
MLB spring training is almost here and some early World Series predictions are starting to be unveiled.
MLB.com had a different spin on some possible World Series matchups in 2024.
It ranked the possible World Series rematches we could see in 2024, in light of the Super Bowl rematch football fans are getting on Feb. 11 between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
One potential rematch on MLB.com's list really caught our attention.
It ranked an Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Texas Rangers 2023 World Series rematch as the fifth-most likely possible rematch we could see in the 2024 Fall Classic.
Could it really happen?
Will Leitch wrote: "Is it possible that both of these teams will be better, start to finish, in 2024 than they were in 2023? Perhaps. That doesn’t necessarily make it likely they’ll return for the first back-to-back World Series matchup since the Dodgers and Yankees in 1977-78, but it’s certainly on the table."

The four potential World Series rematches ahead of Arizona-Texas in the rankings?
MLB.com listed a 2017 World Series rematch between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers as the most likely.
It was followed by an Atlanta Braves vs. Houston Astros 2021 World Series rematch, and then a 2020 rematch of the Dodgers vs. Tampa Bay Rays World Series.
A rematch of the 2020 World Series between the Astros and Philadelphia Phillies was ranked No. 4.
Interestingly, a Diamondbacks vs. New York Yankees rematch of the 2001 World Series came in at No. 8.
Now that would be interesting.

Arizona Diamondbacks' 2024 World Series odds
What are the odds of a Texas Rangers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks World Series rematch in 2024?
BetMGM Sportsbook has odds for some potential MLB World Series matchups in 2024 and it has a Rangers-Diamondbacks rematch at +10000.
A Diamondbacks-Yankees World Series is also given +10000 odds.
But the sportsbook thinks another MLB World Series matchup involving the Diamondbacks is more of a possibility, according to its odds.
It has a Diamondbacks vs. Astros World Series at +8000.
Arizona is given +3500 odds in World Series futures odds, according to BetMGM, tied for 13th in the league for the upcoming season. The DBacks are at +1600 to win the National League, tied for fourth.
