Light it up: Monday's MetroWest and Milford Fantastic Five high school athletes

While most were at the grocery store stocking up essentials for the storm, these Fantastic Five MetroWest and Milford high school athletes piled up points. They lit up scoreboards in the gym and the rink.

Without further ado, the Fantastic Five from Monday, Feb. 12:

NICHOLAS BELLOFATTO, Westborough boys basketball

He hit 13-of-14 free throws and scored 23 points in a 68-64 win over Fitchburg on the road Monday. Brady Chapman and Justin McCafferty each scored 12 points for the Raiders (13-3). Westborough's Joe Marino pulled down 11 rebounds with eight points.

SPENCER GARZONE, Dover-Sherborn/Weston boys hockey

The senior played a part in all four goals, as the Raiders took down Hopedale 4-1 on Monday at the Rivers School. He scored on a breakaway late and added three assists. Brayden McKenna scored twice with one assist, while Max Niit added a goal and an assist for D-S/Weston (14-4). Patrick Benson, Sam Hinckley and Calvin Roman each added an assist, while Raiders goalie Andrew Gold saved 27 shots. Ricky Nashawaty found the net for Hopedale (4-11-2) on the power play in the second period, while Joe Butler provided an assist.

ISABELLA MIELE, Marlborough girls basketball

She poured in 35 points in a 62-57 win over Shepherd Hill on Monday. Miele hit three 3s and 10 free throws. Meghan Deneed added 14 points for the Panthers (13-3, 9-3 Mid-Wach B).

SARAH POLAND, Lincoln-Sudbury girls basketball

She scored 15 points with four rebounds in a 44-35 win over Waltham to put the Warriors back in the win column Monday. Alani Holiett added 10 points and five rebounds. Evie Schwartz contributed nine points and vie rebounds, while Carly McKeown added six rebounds and three assists for L0-S (13-4, 8-1 DCL).

KEIRA POWERS, AMSA girls basketball

She hit three 3s and had 14 points in a tight 48-46 win over Tahanto on Monday. Kathleen Galvin added 10 points for the Eagles (13-5).

Boys basketball

WHITINSVILLE CHRISTIAN 46, Blackstone Valley Tech 45: Ryan Sauter poured in 16 points, but the Beavers (10-7) fell on a late basket Monday. BVT's Jon Powell contributed 12 points.

Girls basketball

TRI-COUNTY 35, South Shore Vocational 26: Gabby Dergham pulled down 16 rebounds with six points for the Cougars (11-6) on Monday. Tri-County's Jolee Tofani added eight points and five steals, while Ivy Young and Kailynn Apollon each scored six points.

BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 65, Parker Charter 11: Both Julia Magill (14 points) and Brianna Lawton (13) outscored the Panthers on their own Monday. Leah Boudreau hit two 3s and added 10 points for BVT (10-6).

CLINTON 41, Assabet 28: Ava Palizzolo scored 11 points for Assabet (4-13) on Monday.
