Licking County students shine in Central Ohio Power Wheels racing

Adelle Robinson won a pair of Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing national titles Saturday at Pacemakers Outlaw Motorsports Park in Mount Vernon.

Robinson, a Hillview Elementary student, won championships in the 24-volt modified series and 12-volt stock, and she added a third-place finish in 12-volt modified.

Tommy Robinson, a McGuffey Elementary student who was inducted into the Central Ohio Power Wheels Drag Racing Hall of Fame, took runner-up in 24-volt modified and fourth in 12-volt modified.

Garfield Elementary student Gideon Wells, placed third in the 24-volt modified class. He added a fifth-place finish in 12-volt modified and was sixth place in 12 volt stock. He reached the semifinals in 12-volt stock and 24-volt modified on Saturday.

And Luke Caffey, who goes to elementary school at Licking Valley, finished eighth in the 12-volt modified class, while his brother Levi took ninth.
