Leo Bonifacio signs with Tennessee
2022 prospect Leo Bonifacio signed with the University of Tennessee on Tuesday to play rugby.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Bonifacio played middle linebacker at Webb School of Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“Congratulations to Leo Bonifacio on signing to continue his academic/athletic career,” Webb School announced.
The Vols’ 15s 2022 fall schedule is slated to begin Aug. 27 with its annual UT Old Boys Weekend. Tennessee will host Ohio State Sept. 10.
The complete 2022 fall schedule has not been released.
Tennessee won the national championship in 2021, defeating Bowling Green, 36-31, in the 2021 Fall Division-I Collegiate Club Rugby Championship.
Tennessee (11-0) outscored its opponents, 373-127, and recorded three shutouts in 2021.
