Well, at least according to HoopsHype.com, LeBron James is the second best NBA player of all time behind – who else – Michael Jordan. HoopsHype is owned by the Beacon Journal's parent company, Gannett.

That’s not to say Akron’s favorite son, shouldn’t be No. 1. Truthfully, he probably should be. The resume is packed with credentials – including the most coveted NBA record, the all-time scoring title. For good measure he is fourth on the all-time assists list as well. How crazy is that? The top scorer ever is also one of the league’s most unselfish players also.

But, Jordan is Jordan. He’s been the alleged GOAT for eons it seems.

His legend has almost grown in the 20 years since he’s retired. But the HoopsHype vote was close with Jordan eking out a 99.58 to 99.17 win over James.

Here’s guessing James’ legend grows in the same manner.
