LeBron James keeps Father Time waiting after biggest comeback of his NBA career
There’s an old saying: “Father Time is undefeated.”
Father Time has yet to meet LeBron James.
The Los Angeles Lakers needed the Akron native’s biggest career comeback in its Wednesday night game against cross-arena rival Los Angeles Clippers to overcome a 21-point fourth quarter deficit and James delivered.

He scored 19 points, connected on five 3-pointers and dished out four assists. It was a masterful performance.
With 11:45 left in the 4Q, the Lakers trailed 98-77.
Then LeBron TOOK OVER, scoring 19 in the quarter, including 5 triples, to lead the Lakers all the way back ‼️

"Keep executing. The game is not ever over until it's double zeroes. We just kept fighting, kept getting defensive stops, made some shots," James said of the comeback.
The Lakers’ season hasn’t developed the way they likely planned with the team fighting to avoid having to play in the NBA’s playoff play-in tournament. The Lakers would need to be a top six seed in the Western Conference to avoid that fate.
Wednesday night’s 116-112 victory over the Clippers, who sit at the No. 4 seed, is huge for the ninth-seeded Lakers who have to make up a three-game deficit (as of the writing of this post) to get into the top six.
James’ performance is being heralded by those who watched. Still, it may not be his greatest overall comeback – at least for Cavs fans. That would be erasing a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals in 2016.
