LeBron James: Fan interaction was something that I missed

LeBron James was in the middle of one of the NBA’s most visible interactions between fans and players in the coronavirus era on Monday night when two fans were ejected from the Lakers game against the Atlanta Hawks. While the Hawks themselves say they have protocols to ensure fans sitting courtside don’t have coronavirus, citing a rapid test that attendees must test negative for, it’s still a fair question why there are fans allowed that close to players, especially when alcohol is involved in a pandemic. But with all of that being said, LeBron James doesn’t appear to be one of those concerned.

In fact, James was quite happy to have fans in the stands, because it’s something that he has missed as part of the atmosphere of game night.

We can clearly see James is expressing his perspective as a basketball player who loves the theater of a game. However, it will still be quite a while before James can experience it on a regular basis as vaccine rollout across the country continues to be in its early stages.
