Laurel County's Keegan Tuttle wins SuperMini AMA State Championship

Oct. 13—Laurel County resident and North Laurel High School student Keegan Tuttle won the SuperMini AMA State Championship on Sunday, September 24, at Southfork Motoplex in Leitchfield, Kentucky.

The 15-year-old son of Richard and Angel Tuttle has entered a total 64 races this season (not counting the state championship), won 43 of those, and only missed the podium (top 3) in five races.

He started racing in the fall of 2020, and has competed against some of the fastest riders in the eastern United States.

Next year he will be concentrating solely on qualifying for the Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn's ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Tuttle would like to thank this season's sponsors: Bush Fire Services Inc., Daddy's Money Racing, Crossroads Cycles, Wossner Research & Development, 139 Designs, and his aunt Katie.
