The latest MIAA Power Rankings are out. Where do Greater Taunton area teams stand?

TAUNTON— The latest edition of MIAA Power Rankings for basketball and hockey were released Friday morning.

As it stands, eight Greater Taunton area basketball and hockey teams are set to qualify for their respective tournaments. Of those eight, Taunton boys basketball, Taunton girls basketball, Taunton hockey, Bridgewater-Raynham girls basketball and Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth hockey have all reached the 10-win threshold to secure automatic qualification. Bridgewater-Raynham boys basketball is outside of the Division 1 top 32, but are currently 8-8 and need two more wins to guarantee a spot.

All teams ranked in the top 32 of their division, as well as any team ranked below 32 with a record of .500 or better, will qualify for their division's respective tournament.

Here's where Greater Taunton teams stand as of Friday morning:

Boys Basketball

Division 1: In- Taunton (19), Bridgewater-Raynham (38)

Division 2: Out- Bristol-Plymouth (65)

Division 3: In- Dighton-Rehoboth (24)

Girls Basketball

Division 1: In- Bridgewater-Raynham (11), Taunton (21)

Division 2: Out- Bristol-Plymouth (67)

Division 3: Out- Dighton-Rehoboth (53)

Boys Hockey

Division 2: Out- Bridgewater-Raynham (38)

Division 3: In- Taunton (21), Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth (41)

Division 4: In- Dighton-Rehoboth/Seekonk (16)

Girls Hockey

Division 1: Out- Mansfield/Oliver Ames/Foxboro/Taunton (34), West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater/Bridgewater-Raynham/Bristol-Plymouth/Southeastern/Middleboro (36)
