Langdon-Edmore-Munich's four selections lead area picks for North Dakota Class A all-state team

Nov. 14—GRAND FORKS — Langdon-Edmore-Munich advanced to the North Dakota Class A state semifinals before falling in a tight game with eventual state champion Kindred.

That strong year was reflected Tuesday in the release of the Class A all-state team, as selected by the North Dakota High School Coaches Association.

Langdon-Edmore-Munich quarterback Rayce Worley, running back Mason Romfo and defensive lineman Cole Welsh all received first team honors, while Cody Amble received second team honors.

Grafton's Tony Villarreal was selected to the all-state second team.

Kindred's Jake Starcevic, who played at Thompson prior to this season, was also selected as a first team linebacker.

Worley threw for more than 2,300 yards with 34 touchdowns to just six interceptions. He also ran 96 times for 574 yards and seven touchdowns.

Welsh had 18 solo tackles, 34 assisted tackles and four sacks.
