Lane Kiffin issues positive injury update on Ole Miss football's Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn

OXFORD — Ole Miss football wide receiver Tre Harris and tight end Caden Prieskorn were both "out there" at practice Monday, according to coach Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin did not say how much the two participated or in what capacity. Neither played in Ole Miss' 48-23 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday, and neither was dressed the last time the Rebels opened practice to the media last Tuesday.

"(Quarterback) Jaxson (Dart) feels good about that," Kiffin said of Harris' and Prieskorn's presence Monday.

Rebels fans have seen what Harris can do. He has played just over one game in an Ole Miss uniform and has 188 receiving yards and five touchdowns to show for it. He left Ole Miss' victory over Tulane in the first quarter and was seen with a wrap around one of his knees.

Prieskorn, an offseason transfer portal addition from Memphis, has not yet played for Ole Miss, but Kiffin has touted him as one of the most important pieces of the Rebels' offense.

A Mackey Award semifinalist last season, Prieskorn caught 48 passes for the Tigers in 2022, racking up 602 yards and seven touchdowns.

Kiffin also noted that cornerback Zamari Walton, who seemed to have taken a knock on Saturday, should be fine.

He did not mention the status of UTSA transfer receiver Zakhari Franklin. Franklin has not yet played for the Rebels after accumulating back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in Conference USA. He was wearing a black non-contact jersey at last week's practice Tuesday.
