Lamar Jackson named as quarterback for 2021 All-Under-25 team by NFL.com

The Baltimore Ravens have a team filled with young talent. Quarterback Lamar Jackson falls into that category, as the 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best players in the NFL.

Nick Shook of NFL.com put out his All-Under-25 team for 2021, and Jackson headlined the group, winning the signal caller spot. Shook explained that since Patrick Mahomes turned 25 recently and no longer qualified for the list, Jackson was the best choice to lead the offense at the quarterback position.

“It became clear during this exercise that a good portion of the NFL’s top young talent is made up of 25-year-olds. So, we don’t have Patrick Mahomes, who turned 25 in September, available to us. Of those who did qualify, Jackson was the clear choice. He’s the only player in NFL history to post 7,000-plus passing yards and 2,500-plus rushing yards in his first three seasons. It’s tough to argue with the candidacy of this former MVP.”

Jackson has proven that he has the skills and the traits to be extremely successful as a professional. While there are certainly some things that he can improve on, what he’s done at just 24 years old is very impressive. He’ll hope to continue his ascension with another stellar performance during his fourth season, but he has absolutely cemented himself as the best quarterback under 25 years old right now in the NFL.
