Lamar Jackson makes two incredible plays on Ravens TD drive in AFC championship game vs. Chiefs

With a trip to his first-ever Super Bowl on the line, Lamar Jackson is doing what he has always done: make plays.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback and former Louisville star had a pair of characteristically electrifying plays on a touchdown drive in the first quarter that evened his team with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

With the Ravens facing a fourth-and-1 at their own 34-yard line, Jackson took it himself up the middle for a 21-yard gain, a scamper that initially looked as though it might go for a touchdown.

Even after that, Jackson had more heroics in store.

Two plays later, he ducked under a potential sack from Kansas City’s Leo Chenal, dropped back and moved around in the pocket, and tossed a 30-yard touchdown pass to Zay Flowers.

While leading Baltimore to the No. 1 seed in the AFC for the NFL playoffs, Jackson pieced together one of the most impressive seasons in his already decorated professional career. In the regular season, he threw for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions while also rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns.

The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner is widely considered the favorite to win the NFL Most Valuable Player award, which would be the second of his career. He would become just the 11th player in NFL history to capture multiple MVPs.
