In the span of just a few plays on Saturday night, the Baltimore Ravens fell apart.
Then it got worse.
On Baltimore’s next possession, Lamar Jackson was chasing a bad snap that went over his head. He had just enough time to fire it out of bounds, but took a hard hit by two Bills defenders as he threw it. Jackson laid on the turf injured as officials dropped a penalty flag for intentional grounding. Jackson was diagnosed with a concussion and ruled out.
That was the final play of the third quarter, and when the NBC broadcast came back it showed Jackson running back to the locker room with a trainer. Tyler Huntley was in as the Ravens’ quarterback on the first play of the fourth quarter, and Baltimore punted after Huntley ran on a third-and-long.
Jackson took a few hard hits from a Bills defense that blitzed often and was focused on containing him in the pocket. The biggest hit sent him back to the locker room to start the fourth quarter.
