Lakers to offer Austin Reaves a four-year, $52 million contract
The Los Angeles Lakers have several players who are free agents this summer, and their intention is to retain as many of them as possible to maintain roster continuity and cohesion.
Their highest priority as far as their own free agents is guard Austin Reaves, who emerged big-time this season as a very important contributor and their third-best player. He averaged 13.0 points a game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field, 39.8 percent from 3-point range and 86.4 percent from the free throw line, and he seemed to get better as time went on.
Reaves is a restricted free agent, and the Lakers are reportedly giving him a contract offer worth $52 million over four years.

In all likelihood, Reaves will get a bigger offer from another team, and the Lakers will have the right to match that offer in order to retain him.
They have been described as a “lock” to keep the undrafted guard.
