Lakers’ Anthony Davis out vs. Pacers with fever

The Los Angeles Lakers won’t have Anthony Davis available against the Indiana Pacers, as first reported by Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel hinted at this news during the pre-game press conference when he said Davis would “most likely be out” because of a fever.

Davis nearly missed the game against the New York Knicks because of flu-like symptoms. Davis said he woke up Tuesday with body aches, a headache and other symptoms that weren’t COVID-19 related.

However, Davis said his fever broke shortly before tip-off, so he rushed to the arena to prepare to play. That, unfortunately for L.A., won’t be the case tonight.

LeBron James will start, though, as he returns from serving a one-game suspension.
