With just over a month left in the NBA regular season, Los Angeles Lakers' fans are biting their nails, hoping that their team can put together a magical run at the end of the season to avoid the postseason play-in tournament.

On the bright side, the Lakers are 5.5 games up on the 11th-place Utah Jazz, meaning the worst-case scenario for this team would probably still net them an opportunity to sneak into the playoffs.
On the other side of this matchup, the Sacramento Kings are looking to avoid the play-in tourney as well. The Kings currently sit in the Western Conference's 7th-seed, but are just two games away from the 5-seed New Orleans Pelicans. There's certainly a lot that could go right or wrong for both teams, but a win tonight would certainly be a big step in the former's direction.

They point out that the Kings are 4-1 in their last five against Western Conference opponents, and with Anthony Davis possibly not at 100% for the contest, the Kings are looking good.

Austin Harper likes the Lakers in this one but offers several statistics that would favor the Kings. Not only are the Kings above .500 ATS this season (8-7) when playing as an underdog of two or more points, but the Lakers are under .500 (13-18) ATS this year when playing as two or more point favorites.
