How the Kristaps Porzingis trade can make Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown better

The Boston Celtics’ decision to swap Marcus Smart for Kristaps Porzingis may have been a painful one for fans to have to deal with, but it is also a trade that could have a lot of positive impacts on the Celtics in their quest for a title next season.

That impact was the topic of a recent episode of the CLNS Media “A-List” podcast, where hosts A. Sherrod Blakeley, Gary Washburn, and Kwani A. Lunis reflect on how the deal might make Boston better. “I think … Porzingis will definitely add an element to the offense,” explained Washburn. “He’ll stretch the floor, make things easier on Jayson (Tatum) and Jaylen (Brown).”

“He’s a post-up guy too. He can shoot over anybody, he’s a good mid-range shooter and that’s what they need … so I think he’ll fit.”
