Kobe Bryant, Jeremy Lin power Lakers over Bobcats

The Los Angeles Lakers put together a very efficient performance, turning it over on only 11 possessions while totaling 28 assists, to beat the Charlotte Bobcats, 107-92. Los Angeles (1-5) picked up the win after falling to Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

Kobe Bryant put up 21 points on 7-20 shooting from the field (1-5 from behind the arc) and 6-7 from the free throw line. Other top performers for Los Angeles were Jeremy Lin with 21 points and seven assists, and Jordan Hill with 12 points and seven assists. Despite the loss, Al Jefferson scored 23 points for Charlotte on 10-23 shooting from the field and 3-6 from the free throw line. He also registered eight rebounds.

After putting up a sparkling assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.55, the Lakers are 1-0 on the season when eclipsing 2.50 in this category. However, the Bobcats are 0-1 when allowing their opponents to achieve such a lofty ratio.

Coming up next, the Lakers play the Memphis Grizzlies, who are 6-1 on the year. The Bobcats meet the Portland Trail Blazers, currently 4-3 this season.
