What to know about the Columbia NCAA softball regional: Schedule, parking, TV

Missouri softball earned the No. 7 national seed and is set to host the NCAA Columbia Regional on Friday through Sunday in Columbia, Missouri.

Which teams join Missouri softball in the NCAA Columbia Regional?

Missouri softball will host No. 2 seed Washington, No. 3 Indiana and No. 4 Omaha at the NCAA Columbia Regional at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

If Missouri (43-15) advances, it will stay in Columbia for the NCAA Super Regional, which also will be held at Mizzou Softball Stadium. It would face the winner of the Durham Regional, which is headlined by national No. 10 seed and ACC champion Duke.

Mizzou fell against Florida in the SEC title game Saturday after defeating Ole Miss, Arkansas and LSU to reach the championship. All 13 SEC teams earned an NCAA Regional berth. With 43 wins this season, Missouri has already eclipsed its previous season-high under coach Larissa Anderson, who took over the program in 2019.

Indiana (40-18) lost in the Big Ten title game Saturday, dropping the championship to Michigan, 3-1.

Washington (31-13), which made the eight-team Women’s College World Series last season, fell in the first round of the final Pac-12 Tournament, losing 11-3 in six innings against Arizona.

Omaha (41-13) was the Summit League champion, defeating South Dakota State in consecutive games to take the double-elimination tournament.

What days, times and channels are the games?

Missouri plays its opening game of the regional at 4:30 p.m. Friday. when the Tigers will face Omaha. Before that, Indiana and Washington will square off at 2 p.m. Second-round games will be played Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. The championship is slated for Sunday, with the first (and potentially only) game time still to be decided.

The games will be available to stream on ESPN+.

What is the format of the NCAA softball regional?

The regional round will be a double-elimination event with two games slated for Friday: The winners from each of Friday’s games will face off Saturday, with the victor in that game advancing to Sunday’s championship. The loser of Friday’s games will play an elimination game Saturday. The teams with 1-1 records will play a second game Saturday.

Parking behind Mizzou Softball Stadium is widely available and free to the public. The spots closest to the stadium are Lots M, N, K and O.

How to get tickets for Missouri softball in the NCAA Tournament

All-session passes were made available to Missouri season-ticket holders starting on Sunday. At 10 a.m. Tuesday, the remaining all-session passes will go on sale for the general public. Individual session tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

All-session passes provide access to every game of the Columbia Regional. All-session passes are priced at $35 (reserved chairback), $25 (reserved bleacher/GA berm for adults, no youth/senior rate) and $20 (youth/senior GA berm). Individual session tickets are priced at $20 (reserved chairback, if available), $15 (reserved bleacher/GA berm for adults, if available) and $10 (youth/senior GA berm).
