Klay Thompson scores 25, Warriors easily get past Kings

The Golden State Warriors picked up the victory due in large part to their efficiency handling the basketball, accumulating 36 assists and turning it over only 12 times, in a blowout 128-108 win over the Sacramento Kings. Golden State (23-3) has now won nine of their last 10 games.

Klay Thompson had another big game, scoring 25 points on 10-16 shooting, including 2-4 on 3-point attempts. Other key performers for Golden State were Festus Ezeli with 15 points and six rebounds, and Stephen Curry with 12 points and 11 assists. On 9-19 shooting from the field and 4-6 from the free throw line, DeMarcus Cousins scored 22 points for Sacramento in the loss. He also tallied eight rebounds and six assists. Omri Casspi added 16 points and eight rebounds and Rudy Gay finished with 13 points and nine rebounds.

After putting up a sparkling assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.00, the Warriors are undefeated (5-0) on the season when eclipsing 2.50 in this category. However, the Kings are 1-7 when allowing their opponents to achieve such a lofty ratio.

This drops Sacramento (12-16) to 0-2 against Golden State on the year.

Coming up, the Warriors take on the Los Angeles Lakers, who are 8-19 on the season. The Kings match up with the Phoenix Suns, currently sitting at 15-14 this year. The Warriors won their last two meetings with Los Angeles. The Kings are 1-0 versus Phoenix this season.
