LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey begins her chase to become the fourth coach to lead an NCAA Division I team to back-to-back national championship titles on Friday vs. 14 seed Rice — and she'll look to do it with unmistakable style.

Mulkey, who led the Tigers to the program's first NCAA Tournament title last season, wore a rather watered-down outfit compared to past games: She went with a Barbie color-outfit, donning a light blue suit jacket with a pink blouse for the 3 seed Tigers (28-5 overall, 13-3 in SEC play) game against 14 seed Rice (19-14, 9-9 play AAC) in the first round game the 2024 NCAA Women's Tournament.

Here is what Mulkey was seen wearing for the Tigers' first-round matchup against Rice in the NCAA Women's Tournament on Friday:

The Tigers, who are the 3 seed in March Madness for the second consecutive season, have won 10 of their last 11 games heading into Friday's matchup against the Owls. LSU looks to get back guard Last-Tear Poa, who cleared concussion protocol earlier this week after sustaining an injury in the SEC Tournament semifinals that resulted in her being stretchered off and taken to the hospital, according to the Tigers' game notes.

Mulkey, who was enshrined into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021, is in her third season at LSU after leaving Baylor in 2021. The 61-year-old coach has appeared in 22 NCAA Tournaments in 24 years as a head coach, only missing the Big Dance in 2003. The NCAA Women's Tournament was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
