Kentucky vs Indiana All-Star basketball games: What to know; UK recruit Reed Sheppard out

Some of the top high school basketball players in Kentucky and Indiana will be in action this weekend in the Louisville area.

Kentucky’s junior and senior All-Stars will face off Saturday at Eastern High School, with the girls game at 1 p.m. and the boys game at 3 p.m.

Kentucky’s juniors will face Indiana’s juniors on Sunday at Jeffersonville High School, with the girls game at 2 p.m. and the boys game at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $10 both days.

The Kentucky-Indiana Senior All-Stars games are set for June 9 in Owensboro and June 10 in Indianapolis.

The Lexington Herald Leader reported Tuesday that Kentucky Mr. Basketball Reed Sheppard of North Laurel has withdrawn from the Kentucky team and won’t play this weekend or next weekend.

Sheppard said he would be unable to compete because of commitments he has during the enrollment process at the University of Kentucky.

Sheppard will not be replaced on the roster.
