Keenan's big day: Who is the Taunton Daily Gazette Football Player of the Week for Week 8?
TAUNTON— The high school football regular season has come to a close in the Greater Taunton area.
Last week, Taunton (5-3, 2-2 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) extended their winning streak to three Friday with a 28-6 victory over Attleboro. Bridgewater-Raynham (1-7, 1-1 Southeast Conference) fell 21-6 to Shrewsbury and Dighton-Rehoboth (2-6, 0-4 South Coast Blue) narrowly fell to Greater New Bedford, 24-21.
On Saturday, playing in their annual Homecoming game, Bristol-Plymouth fell 7-0 to Southeastern.
The Taunton Daily Gazette Football Player of the Week for Week 7 is Dighton-Rehoboth's Gavin Salera, receiving 40% of the vote. Bristol-Plymouth's Nick Pemberton came in second with 30% while Bristol-Plymouth's Brayden Perry received 15% to finish third.

Diaz-Tavares had 10 carries for 42 yards and a touchdown against Greater New Bedford.
Kevin Gousie Jr., Dighton-Rehoboth
Gousie had two catches for 42 yards and a touchdown against Greater New Bedford.
Ethan Harris, Taunton
Harris had 19 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown against Attleboro.
Dylan Keenan, Taunton
Keenan went 15-of-20 passing for 150 yards and three touchdowns against Attleboro.
Ryan Keenan, Taunton
Keenan had a 10-yard touchdown catch against Attleboro.
Kensley Macean, Dighton-Rehoboth
Macean had a 57-yard touchdown catch against Greater New Bedford.
Cam Newman, Dighton-Rehoboth
Newman had 13 tackles against Greater New Bedford.
Jose Touron, Taunton
Touron hauled in 10 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown against Attleboro.
Dmitrius Shearrion, Taunton
Shearrion had two catches for 12 yards and a touchdown and two carries for 18 yards against Attleboro.
Tim Zibrida, Dighton-Rehoboth
Zibrida had a pair of tackles and recovered a fumble against Greater New Bedford.
