MANHATTAN — Kansas State women's basketball will host the first two rounds of the second Albany region in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

The No. 4-seeded Wildcats (25-7) will face No. 13 Portland (21-12) in the first round at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Bramlage Coliseum, with the other game featuring No. 5 Colorado (22-9) and No. 12 Drake (29-5) at 6 p.m.. The two winners square off in the second round on Sunday. Both games will be televised on ESPNews.

K-State was on the border between a No. 4 and 5 seed for the tournament, ultimately edging out Colorado (22-9) for the spot. Gonzaga also was considered borderline after losing to Portland in the West Coast Conference Tournament finals, but held on to be seeded fourth in the second Portland region.
