Kansas football transfer portal tracker: Here's who's leaving and here's who's joining

LAWRENCE — Kansas football, like teams around the country, continues to have the transfer portal be a part of its preparation for the 2024 season.

In the weeks that have followed the end of the 2023 campaign, there have been a handful of now-former Jayhawks who have announced their intentions to transfer away. Some from other college programs have announced their intentions to transfer in, adding to the excitement that's been built around the team's 2024 recruiting class. And here is a list of those who have made their intentions known so far:

These players have announced they are transferring to join Kansas football, or their commitment has been reported

Darrell Simmons Jr. (Iowa State, offensive lineman)

Javier Derritt (North Dakota State, defensive tackle)

Shane Bumgardner (Tiffin, offensive lineman)

Dylan Wudke (Youngstown State, defensive end)

Devin Dye (Utah State, safety)

DeShawn Hanika (Iowa State, tight end)

Kansas later announced his arrival.

These players have announced they are transferring away from Kansas football

Spencer Lovell (offensive lineman)

Spencer Lovell ended up committing to Nevada.

Ar'maj Reed-Adams (offensive lineman)

Ar'maj Reed-Adams ended up committing to Texas A&M.

Gage Keys (defensive lineman)

Gage Keys ended up committing to Auburn.

Tanaka Scott (wide receiver)

Tanaka Scott ended up committing to North Alabama.

Will Huggins (tight end)

Will Huggins ended up committing to Pittsburg State.
