Kansas basketball’s path to Big 12 regular season title revealed with schedule release
LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball now knows the path it must take to earn another Big 12 Conference regular season title, with the release of the league’s conference schedule Tuesday.
The Jayhawks are already coming in off of back-to-back regular season crowns, including a shared championship with Baylor two seasons ago and an outright championship last season. They’re poised to be the favorite again this season, with head coach Bill Self back among some key veterans. And it’s clear there is a lot of national interest in seeing Kansas play.
“Kansas men’s basketball will appear on ESPN Big Monday three times and 12 of KU’s 18 league contests will appear on ESPN or ESPN2 as the Big 12 announced its conference schedule for 2023-24 on Tuesday,” a KU release stated. “The Big 12 also announced that CBS will air two KU league games this season, one at Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 6, against TCU and the other at Iowa State on Saturday, Jan. 27.”
That Jan. 6 game at home against TCU represents Kansas’ Big 12 opener this season. The Jayhawks’ first road game in the conference slate follows it, Jan. 10 at UCF.
Here’s a look at Kansas’ Big 12 schedule, with all tip-off times being central:
