Knicks' Julius Randle fined $50K for shoving Cam Johnson, contacting official in loss to Suns
The NBA fined New York Knicks forward Julius Randle $50,000 for shoving Phoenix Suns forward Cam Johnson and contacting an official during a game on Friday, the league announced Sunday.
The league also noted in its statement that Randle was noncompliant in its investigation of the incident.

The incident occurred late in the third quarter of the 115-114 Suns win. Randle shoved Johnson after the pair made contact in the post while fighting for rebounding position. Randle pushed his way past an official standing in between him and Johnson to get to the Suns forward. Randle was assessed two technical fouls and ejected.

Johnson went on to score 21 points in the fourth quarter, including a game-winning 3-pointer to beat the buzzer. He finished with a career-high 38 points while hitting nine of 12 3-point attempts.
The Suns improved to an NBA-best 51-12 with the win and hold a commanding eight-game lead over the second-place Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference. For the reeling Knicks, it was their seventh straight loss and 17th in 20 games as they've fallen to 12th place in the East with a 25-38 record.
