Josh Norman was working at his coffee shop before returning to Panthers

On Monday, Josh Norman returned to the Carolina Panthers, signing with the team that drafted him more than a decade ago. And it seems he’s returned with a little extra flavor.

The 35-year-old cornerback spoke with team reporter Kristen Balboni following his first practice back on Wednesday. He revealed that he was working in his coffee shop as recently as one week ago.

“I was slinging coffee in a coffee shop,” he told Balboni with a laugh. “Being a barista, serving people. It was quite cool, too.”

Balboni then asked Norman what his specialty cup is.

“Well, I made a nice espresso,” he said. “Really nice. Two shots in every cup. And it was a latte form, so I had to froth the milk. But it got oat milk first. That was the base.”

He later added that the coffee shop is located in downtown Atlanta, right across the street from Cam Newton’s cigar bar, Fellaship.ATL.

The former first-team All-Pro rejoined Carolina as a member of the practice squad. As noted by interim head coach Steve Wilks this afternoon, Norman is expected to be elevated for the Week 17 showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So, uh, does anyone know if Tom Brady likes oat milk?
