Josh Giddey calls Giannis Antetokounmpo the best player in the world

Despite the reigning NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks’ season coming to an end on Sunday with a Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder rookie guard Josh Giddey proclaimed two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo the best player in the league on Twitter.

Which, considering Antetokounmpo’s resume of being a two-time MVP, a Finals MVP, a six-time All-Star, a four-time All-Defensive team member at the young age of 27 years old, it’s hard to argue otherwise despite the second round exit and failure to repeat as champions.

Giddey has been pretty active on social media during the playoffs. I think it’s fait to say that the 19-year-old is the most social media engaged player on an otherwise quiet Thunder team. Especially after his recent TikTok of throwing shade at the Philadelphia 76ers went viral.
