Of all the things that stood out at the 2018 NBA All-Star game last February, Fergie might be the most memorable — and not in a good way.

The pop singer gave a wild rendition of the national anthem that drew laughter from fans and players in the Staples Center and set social media ablaze. She even put out an apology the next day, saying that her “rendition didn’t strike the intended tone.”

Josh Duhamel — Fergie’s ex-husband — brought it up on Thursday in an interview with Kristine Leahy of Fox Sports.

Duhamel was upset at Warriors forward Draymond Green, who could be seen laughing on camera during Fergie’s performance.

“The thing that made me upset was that she has taken a lot of really cruel comments,” Duhamel said. “People were really trolling. I was pissed off at Draymond Green, first of all. I think he owed her an apology. I thought he was kind of a prick. Just because he knew the camera was on him and he snickered about it. I just thought that if he would have been a real man, he would have at least called her and said, ‘Listen, I’m sorry that I caused all this.'”

Green, though, wasn’t the only one laughing or making faces on camera during the performance. Steph Curry, Joel Embiid and even late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel could all be seen laughing or making faces during the performance — and nearly all of NBA Twitter had a laugh at her expense. Why Duhamel wanted Green’s apology specifically doesn’t make much sense.

Regardless, it doesn’t look like Green will be calling either Fergie or Duhamel up anytime soon.

After the Warriors’ 128-100 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Friday night, the team celebrated in the locker room to a remix of Fergie’s rendition of the anthem.
