Josh Doan's special NHL debut for Arizona Coyotes: Reliving a night of memories

The Arizona Coyotes, and their fans, needed something like this.

Mired in second-to-last place in the Central Division with 65 points, Arizona's NHL franchise needed something positive to happen on the ice amid the revolving door of off-ice drama involving the team's ongoing arena saga.

Josh Doan's debut for the Coyotes provided a pick-me-up the Coyotes could definitely use on Tuesday night at Arizona State's Mullett Arena in Tempe.

Doan, the son of Arizona Coyotes legend Shane Doan, scored two goals in his NHL debut at his former college arena in a 6-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

It was just one night, but it was special.

The Arizona Coyotes' social media team chronicled the special evening for Doan, his family, and the world on X with posts throughout the night.
