Can Jordan Walsh, the Boston Celtics’ No. 38 pick of the 2023 NBA draft, be counted on to contribute right away?

Can Jordan Walsh, the Boston Celtics‘ No. 38 pick of the 2023 NBA draft, realistically be counted on to contribute right away? On one hand, Walsh’s shooting showed improvement and increased confidence, after his trainer worked on eliminating the involvement of the ring finger in his shot. But on the other, the streakiness of his shooting suggests there is work to be done on that end of the court.

He has the potential to be a consistent shooter with some relatively minor tweaks, but whether he gets there or not this coming season is something that remains to be seen.

The host of the “Locked On Celtics” podcast John Karalis recently linked up with the Boston Globe’s Tim Westerholm to talk about Walsh’s potential to help Boston next season.
