John Wall gets double-double, Wizards beat Knicks

John Wall scored 24 points and added 11 assists and six rebounds in a tremendous all-around performance to lead the Washington Wizards to a victory over the New York Knicks, 102-91. The Wizards put together a very efficient performance, turning it over on only 10 possessions while totaling 25 assists. This is the seventh win for Washington (20-8) in its last 10 games.

Wall finished 10-17, in a solid outing. Other key players for Washington included Bradley Beal with 17 points and five rebounds, Kris Humphries with 14 points and six rebounds, and Rasual Butler with 11 points and six rebounds. Carmelo Anthony had another strong game for New York despite the loss, scoring 34 points on 13-28 shooting.

The Wizards combined an eFG% of 55.2% with 43.8% 3-point shooting. They are undefeated (4-0) this year when registering marks above 55% and 40% in those respective statistics. The Knicks, on the other hand, are winless (0-8) when allowing opponents to hit those marks.

New York (5-26) has now lost six straight contests.

Coming up, the Wizards square off against the Boston Celtics, who are 10-16 on the season. The Knicks go up against the Sacramento Kings, currently sitting at 12-16 this year. The Wizards are 1-1 versus Boston this season.
