Joel Embiid out for Sixers vs. Raptors due to right knee recovery
The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to right the ship after a 1-4 start when they take on the Toronto Raptors on Friday. This will be the second game of the 4-game road trip and it will be a rematch with Toronto after falling on Wednesday.
While they want to get back on track, they will need everybody else to step up in the wake of Joel Embiid’s right knee injury. They will not have the big fella against the Raptors due to recovery from the injury.
In Embiid’s place, the Sixers will start PJ Tucker at the center spot and they will move De’Anthony Melton into the starting line. They did have some success with that lineup in the preseason against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sixers starters:
Melton
Harris
Tucker
Maxey

The biggest issue with going this small against the Raptors is their unique roster. They have a lot of size and length and they are all skilled so the Sixers will have to contend with that without Embiid.
Tipoff from Scotiabank Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
