Joe Burrow practicing, expected to play Week 1 for Bengals

The NFL world stood still a few months ago when Joe Burrow came up limping during a team practice. He was diagnosed with a strained right calf on July 27.

On Aug. 30, Burrow returned to practice for the first time since being injured. With week one right around the corner, many people questioned Burrow’s status heading into the Bengals‘ season opener against the Browns. Coach Zac Taylor brought it up in a press conference today and cleared the air.

Burrow practiced in full pads on Wednesday, and that puts him on track to start in game one this Sunday. Bengals fans and fantasy owners alike rejoiced at this news. Burrow then spoke to the media and was asked how he was feeling health-wise, here is what he had to say.

Burrow is ready to go and his head coach believes he is ready as well. The Bengals kick off their 2023 campaign this Sunday at noon CT. as they travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns.
