Jeremy Lin scores 18 points in Santa Cruz Warriors debut vs. G League Ignite

On Wednesday, the Santa Cruz Warriors opened the 2021 season in Orlando with a contest against the G League Ignite team. After falling behind early, a strong fourth-quarter rally from the Warriors wasn’t good enough for a comeback bid against the Ignite. Santa Cruz dropped the opener to the Ignite, 109-104.

Top potential 2021 draft prospect Jonathan Kuminga impressed, scoring 19 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field with four assists and, two rebounds and two blocks in 33 minutes. Former Warriors’ point guard Jarrett Jack led the way for the Ignite, tallying a game-high 23 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field on 19 minutes off the bench. The veteran NBA guard was perfect from beyond the arc, hitting a trio of triples on three attempts from deep.

Wednesday’s contest at the Disney World campus brought on Jeremy Lin’s debut with the Santa Cruz Warriors. Lin drew the start, recording 18 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field in 30 minutes. The former New York Knicks point guard dished out five assists and grabbed three boards.
