Jedrick Wills Jr., Jerome Ford will play for Cleveland Browns against Seattle Seahawks

SEATTLE — The Browns will have available two key offensive players who came into Sunday's game at the Seattle Seahawks with their playing status up in the air.

Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. will be in the starting lineup at his usual spot despite battling foot and ankle injuries this week. Running back Jerome Ford, who some thought earlier in the week might miss multiple games, will also be in the lineup.

Also playing will be linebacker Sione Takitaki, who missed the win at the Indianapolis Colts due to a hamstring injury, and receiver Marquise Goodwin, who missed practice time this week with a back injury. Both were also listed as questionable coming into Sunday.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson was ruled out Wednesday, making his appearance on the inactive list not a surprise. Also on the list were rookies cornerback Kahlef Hailassie, safety Ronnie Hickman, defensive end Isaiah McGuire and defensive tackle Siaki Ika, along with game day elevation Jordan Wilkins.

Wills went through a 15-minute workout a little more than two hours before kickoff, with coach Kevin Stefanski, general manager Andrew Berry, offensive line coach Bill Callahan, assistant offensive line coach Scott Peters and trainer Joe Sheehan all in attendance. Callahan ran the workout, which involved Wills doing multiple lineman-specific drills such as drops and pulls, before flashing a thumbs up to Stefanski and Berry at the end.

Ford never went through any on-field workout before the Browns' actual pregame warmups. That clearly meant the Browns felt comfortable with his playing status arriving at the stadium.

Ford suffered the ankle injury on a 6-yard loss with 11:43 remaining in the Browns' win over the Indianapolis Colts. Initial reports indicated the injury was a "low-grade" high ankle sprain, and the thought was he could have possibly missed multiple games.

The Browns added three running backs to the practice squad this week: Jordan Wilkins, Nate McCrary and John Kelly Jr. Wilkins was elevated to the game day roster Saturday, but declared an inactive Sunday.

Both Ford and Wills returned to the practice field Friday. Ford had not practiced all week, while Wills was limited Wednesday before not practicing at all Thursday.

Takitaki had not practiced since the Thursday before the Colts game. He returned to practice Friday.
