Ja'Marr Chase, Trey Hendrickson earn Pro Bowl nods for the Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase were selected to Pro Bowl on Wednesday night.

This is the third year in a row Chase and Hendrickson earned Pro Bowl nods.

“This is well deserved for both Ja’Marr and Trey,” said Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. “The consistency that they put in on a day-to-day, year-to-year basis is why they are top performers in this league. It’s awesome that they get recognized for that. I’m very proud of their achievements and happy that they got this honor.”

Hendrickson, 29, is tied with Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt for most sacks in the NFL with 17. In three seasons with the Bengals, Hendrickson has logged 39 sacks.

The Bengals have two players who are also Pro Bowl alternates in running back Joe Mixon and offensive tackle Orlando Brown. Depending on which players opt out of the Pro Bowl, that's when the alternates get a spot in the game.

Mixon, in his seventh season with the Bengals, has recorded 923 yards on 243 carries and eight touchdowns on the ground this season. In the air, Mixon added 51 catches for 370 yards and and two touchdowns.

Brown started all 16 games for the Bengals at left tackle. Pro Football Focus says Brown has allowed seven sacks and 59 quarterback pressures this season.

The Pro Bowl games will be played on Feb. 4 in Orlando, Florida at Camping World Stadium.
