Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight postponed. When will the fight happen?

It was slated to be the boxing match of the summer.

Netflix was going to air a fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson on July 20 in a bout that excited the world. People were looking forward to seeing 27-year-old Paul, who has been building a name for himself through viral fights, take on the 57-year-old former champion.

But on May 31, the fight was postponed.

Why was the Mike Tyson-Logan Paul fight postponed?

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson came face to face at their New York City press conference at the Apollo Theater on May 13. Paul and Tyson will square off in an officially sanctioned heavyweight fight on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Jake Paul and Mike Tyson came face to face at their New York City press conference at the Apollo Theater on May 13. Paul and Tyson will square off in an officially sanctioned heavyweight fight on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

According to Netflix, Tyson was dealing with stomach issues that prevented him from hitting the gym.

"Unfortunately Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not face-off on July 20 as planned. Tyson’s recent ulcer flare up has limited his ability to train fully for the next few weeks," Netflix said in a post on X. "The fight will be rescheduled for a date later this year after Mike’s able to resume training with no limitations and both fighters can have equal time to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup!"

When will the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight take place?

It won't take place this summer though Netflix did say it would happen this year.

As of now, neither fighter has said anything about a new date, though they did say an announcement would be coming soon.

An ulcer flare up could mean a lot of things, so there's probably been no announcement because neither fighter knows.

Tyson is working to get better and until he's able to start getting into shape, there's no reason to announce a makeup date.

Who will win the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul?

Tyson was a killer. He was one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. But he's 57, and he wasn't Mike Tyson at the end. He hasn't had a professional fight since 2005, and he lost his final two fights. His final fight he lost to Kevin McBride and was knocked out the one before that against Danny Williams.

Overall, Tyson is 44-5 in his professional fighting career.

Jake Paul doesn't have anywhere near the experience of his foe. He  9-1 in his career, his only loss was against Tommy Fury. While Paul has been successful, he's beaten guys like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz. All are accomplished fighters, but boxing isn't their speciality.

Still, it's hard to see Tyson shaking off illness and 30 years to win this fight. Unless he knocks him out early, Paul should win. If the fight ever happens.

Who is favored to win the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight?

Vegas agrees, making Paul a -170 favorite. So if you want to win $100 on the favorite, you'll have to lay $170.

Mike Tyson-Jake Paul Undercard

While the Tyson fight was what everyone was excited about, there was a strong undercard on the show.
